Sandalwood Construction Company began operations in the fall of 1977 and for over 20 years has committed itself to the construction of Quality-Built Homes & Additions on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We are a Family-Owned and Operated business with two decades of Coastal Experience. We began by doing all the work ourselves, from the ground up, including framing, siding, roofing, painting, insulating, interior trim and, at times, we cleared the land and poured all of the concrete. Our special expertise was in trim carpentry ... which we did exclusively in every home. Today every phase of construction has our full attention and commitment as we actively participate throughout every home with Hands-On-Work and Daily Supervision.

Little did I know how much that decision would help me in the construction industry today. The entire construction process is mathematical ... very precise and specific regarding details! Our Computerized Costing, Construction Planning & Scheduling Systems give us the technical tools & techniques to accompany our Experience in the Field. Assuming you've selected a lot, the next most important steps are: Choosing the proper House Design for your lot by determining the appropriate size and style; Orienting the house on the lot to best capture available views and take into account the weather; Designating the number of rooms, bedrooms and baths; and lastly ... Specifying the amenities and features. If you are planning to rent your home, an analysis of your specific location should be completed to evaluate the potential Rental Income and the possible need of integrating extra bedrooms, baths, a Spa or even a Swimming Pool which could allow you to achieve an even greater Rental Market Advantage. Sandalwood Offices Kitty Hawk	I am personally available each day from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, in my Kitty Hawk offices and can meet with you on any weekend throughout the year. At our initial meeting we can discuss all manner of Design Options you might have as well as look over the many proven plans we have available. We work closely with a few talented local designers to whom we can refer you, or you can utilize our Professional, In-House Design Capabilities.
