Local Support:

Besides the research support of the Institute for Historical and Cultural Research at East Carolina, the Croatan Project is strongly supported by the local residents, who have formed the Croatan Group, coordinated by Tom Hranicka. The group provides logistical support and volunteers and serves as a fund-raising agency for the project. The Native American Museum in Frisco has been particularly supportive in hosting the symposia and workshops related to the project. Owners Carl and Joyce Bornfriend have been gracious hosts.
