- mid-September - - 4th Annual ULTIMATE TAILGATE PARTY to raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network of which Ace Harware is a national sponsor. Our local CMN hospital is The Chilldren's Hospital of King's Daughters with all proceeds from the event going to the hospital. $10 raffle tickets (only 3,000 will be sold) offer buyers a chance to win a 17 ft. Carolina Skiff with 40 hp motor and trailer. This skiff package has been donated by Manteo Marine, Carolina Skiff, Johnson and Long Trailer Company with ticket printing donated by Coastal Impressions. - October 7-8 - - Annual Artrageous Weekend, Saturday: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Kill Devil Hills Recreational Park with the auction 5:00 pm until, Sunday at the Ramada Inn in Kill Devil Hills. The day event features creative booths for children, live music, artist show and sell booths, artists - adult and youth - painting on site, live music and food. Booths for kids usually cost $1.
